Service Description
It begins within. This weekly clinical orientation offer is a way to build skill in unique and progressive practices that are significantly useful in a clinical setting. Develop skills in each session. Utilizing the HIKE4evolution curriculum of self-development, as well as principles from somatic counseling psychology, Breathwork, mindfulness, Energy Psychology, Energy Medicine, Bio/Nerofeedback, Personal Self-Integration (an IFS-simillar strategy), active/embodied meditation, the body/mind connection, and the roles these practices play in staying well as an activist, a service provider, an educator, and a caregiver. These skills are easily learned and practiced without special certifications or training requirements. What is somatics and why is it important? Somatic healing therapies are also called body–mind therapies and represent the application of somatic psychology, which is the field concerned with the living experience of being embodied and acknowledging this experience as the basis of how we relate to and live in the world (Barrat, 2010). Body–mind therapies use healing interventions that work with the body to access and change feelings, thoughts, and behaviors. These interventions work with the body’s wisdom and leverage personal resources from each client (Barrat, 2010; Levine & Frederick, 1997). Drawing from training in yoga, biofeedback and neurofeedback, mindfulness, and meditation, Alistair leads helpers through the easy steps for developing somatic awareness and harnessing it's power for manifesting life in happy, healthy, and efficient ways.

If you cancel with 48 hours' notice there will be a 25% service fee from any refund that may be issued. Late cancellations (less than 24 hour in advance) may forfeit deposit funds that have been paid. Please schedule wisely and make notes of appointments that are confirmed with provider. Thank you!
